Mid and South Essex ICS explores unified electronic patient record – htn

A prior information notice has been published by Mid and South Essex Integrated Care System to procure a unified electronic patient record system.

Essex University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Mid and South Essex Foundation Trust are currently at the outline business case stage to procure and replace their existing electronic patient record systems.

The notice intends to start a market engagement phase in relation to a unified electronic patient record system, with both trusts currently collaborating on the option for a unified solution. The process aims to inform the outline business case development over the next two months, in readiness for procurement during 2023/24 financial year.

“The trusts now wish to consult with potential suppliers on the viability of a unified EPR solution,” the notice states.

A market brief of the opportunity is now available to view, as well as engagement sessions planned for early February 2023. To view the opportunity, please click here.

Earlier this week, HTN published the news of Mid and South Essex ICB awarding a business intelligence services contract. The ICB has awarded a contract to NHS Arden & GEM Commissioning Support Unit to deliver business intelligence services and platform provision across the ICB.
