Ascom UK expands clinical team

Health and long-term care technology company, Ascom UK, has expanded its team of consultants with three new clinical hires.

Julia Spindler, who joins as a clinical sales consultant and will work across London and the South East, has 24 years of frontline experience as a registered nurse.

Spindler also held the position of director of clinical services with Spire Healthcare Group.

Shabiha Azam, also a clinical sales consultant who will operate across the North of England, spent more than 17 years with Johnson & Johnson and has extensive knowledge of the medical device sector from working in its Ethicon division.

Azam has also been twice nominated in this year’s The Great British Businesswoman Awards and is an honorary NHS England Inequalities member.

Clinical pre-sales consultant Nick Hammond is a registered operating practitioner and clinical application specialist.

His experience spans across medical devices having worked with Mindray and bio-medical engineering equipment from his time with Avensys UK.

The appointments bolster Ascom UK’s network of clinical consultants which comprises seven healthcare professionals from a wide range of backgrounds, including registered nurses, medical technology and IT experts.

Also joining the Ascom team is sales consultant Phil Guest.

Guest, who previously worked with brands such as Legrand, benefits from a deep understanding of acoustic monitoring having worked with companies such as Adaptive IT.

“Their first-hand experience and understanding of the pressures and challenges our customers face within health and long-term care is second to none.
