Sanius Health and Modality Partnership forge £225m deal to transform patient care in the UK

London-based data, research and personalised health patient AI platform Sanius Health has announced a 10-year partnership with one of the UK’s largest primary care providers, Modality Partnership.

The deal, valued at £225 million, represents a significant step forward in improving patient outcomes and delivering innovative healthcare solutions.

Under the agreement, Sanius Health will provide its AI-enabled patient ecosystem to benefit over 500,000 patients across the United Kingdom.

The partnership will see Modality Partnership leveraging Sanius Health’s advanced AI and clinical services to offer patients enhanced coaching and clinical support within the Sanius Health patient data and personalised health ecosystem.

Dr Mina Gupta, Group Clinical Chair of Modality Partnership, said: “We have been doing some ground-breaking work in respiratory medicine with Sanius Health across the country and see this as a natural next step in our journey together.

“Delivering lasting changes in healthcare takes time. We look forward to the next phase of our relationship.

Vincent Sai, Group CEO and Partner of Modality Partnership, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Sanius to help patients living with life changing conditions.”

Every year, a significant number of new medicines undergo evaluation by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for approvals.

However, a substantial portion of these potential treatments—9 out of 37 (25 per cent) —are rejected due to a lack of sufficient evidence regarding patient outcomes and unmet healthcare needs.

Sanius Health aims to bridge this gap through its patient-consented data ecosystem, with a primary focus on improving patients’ quality of life.

By leveraging integrated, de-identified longitudinal datasets, Sanius Health accelerates the generation of real-world evidence (RWE) to support clinical trials, research and patient care.

Sanius Health’s  approach has already helped to significantly improve outcomes for patients while positively impacting healthcare systems.

This includes a 52 per cent reduction in Emergency department admissions, a 50 per cent improvement in lengths of stay, and £16 million in cost savings in a single disease area.

Orlando Agrippa, Founder and CEO of Sanius Health, commented: “It’s been a pleasure to work with the entire Modality family, and we look forward to 10 amazing years.

“We are ultra-passionate about improving outcomes for patients while accelerating access to novel data and personalised medicine technologies for clinical colleagues in research and supporting industry partners to improve evidence generation for drug approvals.”
