ABHI unveils first-ever UK Pavlion at Africa Health

The Association of British HealthTech Industries (ABHI) announced the launch of its first-ever UK Pavilion at the Africa Health Exhibition, set to take place in Cape Town from 22-24 October.

The ABHI UK Pavilion will offer an opportunity for UK HealthTech companies to showcase their latest technologies and solutions to the healthcare market in Africa.

With a focus on driving export growth and fostering collaborations, the Pavilion aims to strengthen the presence of UK HealthTech companies in the region.

This year’s Africa Health event, co-located with Medlab Africa, will be hosted in Cape Town, South Africa, for the first time ever.

This joint event is expected to attract an audience of over 6,000 professionals and will feature more than 500 exhibitors from across 40 countries over three days.

This year’s Africa Health includes conferences, half-day sessions and extensive networking opportunities tailored to attract a global healthcare audience.

Michelle Michelucci, Head of International Events, ABHI, commented: “Africa Health Exhibition 2024 is set to exceed all previous editions with more international participation and dynamic content.

“We are excited to invite UK companies to join us as we bring the ABHI UK pavilion to this fast-growing event for the first time.

“Africa is an exciting place to do business. With demand for innovative HealthTech solutions soaring, the region presents ample opportunities for UK companies to grow and thrive in a dynamic market.”

The conference agenda featuresover 200 speakers across CPD-accredited sessions, covering clinical, leadership, hospital administration, healthcare tech, and digital content.

Sessions will explore topics such as Healthcare Infrastructure, Medical Equipment Planning, Mental Health, and cutting-edge Imaging and Diagnostics technologies.

New highlights for 2024 include the EmpowHER conference, showcasing established and emerging women leaders from across the healthcare ecosystem.

The Innov8 Start-up Competition will also return for its second year, celebrating some of the most innovative companies worldwide.

UK companies looking to explore these opportunities are encouraged to book their stand by 5th August to take full advantage of ABHI’s extensive support and expertise.

This includes promotional activities and guidance to enhance their brand visibility and make a significant impact at the event.

Michelucci said: “The Africa Health Exhibition is the ideal platform to gain market insights and explore collaboration opportunities.

“Cape Town, with its vibrant atmosphere and excellent infrastructure, serves as the perfect hub for international business connections.

“We urge any interested companies to get in touch now to avoid missing out on this important and growing event in our international calendar.”
